On Sunday, I was on Fox News Media Buzz with host Howard Kurtz. In this segment, I talked about the media’s reaction to Nancy Pelosi ripping the SOTU speech as well as how the media got it wrong on their coverage of the firing of Vindman and Sondland.
Pelosi Draws Media Flak for Ripping Speech
Some media people gave House Speaker Pelosi flak for ripping up the State of the Union speech, but we saw the New York Times having two articles making a false equivalency between President Trump not shaking her hand and Nancy ripping the speech, which had the names of all these American heroes and great stories. You see some of the media giving fault to Nancy for doing that but I think the mainstream media—the big ones—are actually trying to say it’s an equivalent action between President Trump and Nancy Pelosi.
Americans are happy Vindman, Sondland are fired and can no longer undermine the President
Also discussed in this segment, the media being triggered by President Trump’s justified firing of Sondland and Vindman. The media is portraying this as Trump striking back at perceived enemies. But it should not be portrayed that way. I think the problem is the media mobs want someone who stays in his lane and that they’re able to manipulate through their coverage of these events. But I will tell you that many Americans across the country were so happy to see that the people who had done these public betrayals are no longer in charge of our foreign policy and are no longer able to undermine this president. So that’s where the media coverage was wrong because it didn’t give enough lift to that feeling of relief by the American people that these people are no longer in positions to harm this administration.
