The travel ban is entirely constitutional: President Trump’s executive order adopted the recommendations of the Dept of Homeland Security after DHS conducted a worldwide multiagency review and identified a limited number of countries that failed to provide minimal information needed to vet their nationals.
The travel ban does NOT apply to the vast majority of the world, including the vast majority of the Muslim world.
The travel ban reflects a foreign policy and national security judgment that falls well within the president’s statutory and constitutional authority
