I recently gave a speech at the Clare Booth Luce Center for Conservative Women on why I support a woman’s right to choose to exercise her Second Amendment rights for self-protection. I gave an overview of the history, meaning and purpose of the Second Amendment as well as the truth about the impact that private gun ownership has on public safety. I also exposed how ideology and bias distorts the issues in this important debate.
