Media Supreme Court Video

News media purposefully neglect a lot of FACTS on Judge Jackson’s Supreme Court confirmation

The media failed to acknowledge that it is completely appropriate for Senators to look at a judge’s philosophy and record when considering her for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court. Yet the media had breathless coverage about how doing this very thing was outrageous and completely unacceptable. Yet this is what Senators are SUPPOSED to do when they offer advice and consent to the president on his nomination.

A judge’s judicial philosophy and record are so important and that’s what Republican Senators like Tom Cotton were trying to investigate. Sen. Cotton was making the point that Judge Jackson defended adversaries of the United States—even long after she left the public defender’s office. That’s the key point here—this is specifically related to her record and judicial philosophy.

I can’t believe that anyone in America believes that Judge Jackson follows in the mold of Justice Scalia. Let’s face it – she’s a liberal judge and we’re going to see that in her liberal policy preferences.

Only one Democrat voted for Justice Kavanagh and none voted for Amy Coney Barrett. Where is the media recounting of that when they complain about Senator Republicans not supporting Jackson? They forget that inconvenient fact.

I was on Fox News “Media Buzz” on Sunday, April 10, 2022 to discuss the news media and the confirmation of Judge Jackson.
